The "Lone Skateboard" painting was inspired by a midday session at Fundy Bay Skatepark, in Scarborough, Ontario.

If you have been to Fundy Bay, you know it's not easy to have a quiet session, as the skatepark is often taken over by kids. But on that day, I was lucky to have the entire park for myself. |
I wanted to capture the feeling of a quiet skatepark, that peaceful and almost dreamlike experience. A safe place for alone time, to try to new tricks or work on old ones without any distractions.
| My goal was to achieve that by featuring the lone skateboard surrounded by the shadows of leafy branches stretching across the ground, giving it a sense of serenity. | ![]() |
